Mother Holle

Hard-working Marie and her lazy stepsister Trude each tumble down the old well into Frau Holle's world. Marie helps the bread, the apple tree and Frau Holle — shaking the featherbed until it snows — and comes home covered in gold. Trude won't lift a finger, and comes home covered in sticky pitch.

Best watched together, with the lights low.
